God created man and woman, then proclaimed they shall be one.
Gave a picture of his heaven, and the bride that He had won.
Instituted earthly marriage e’er before a child was born
Giving us a glorious image, how His Bride shall be adorned.

Mystery of Godly brilliance, how a man completes his wife,
Deeper than the deepest romance, she fulfills his very life.
What a grand and glorious story, saves us though we are the least,
Then adorns us with His glory, brings us to His Wedding Feast!

How God loves his errant children, though we turn away from Him.
Like a shepherd tends and keeps them, as He takes away their sin.
Dear Lord Jesus, we adore you, and we know the price You paid,
Here we lift our praise before you, for the sacrifice you made.

May we see in earthly marriage, how we will become His bride.
What a vision! What an image! All we are in Him abide.
Into radiance He has cleansed us, brings us to His heavenly home!
To His Father He presents us as His bride before God’s throne!
